Light and Bright Dining

These clients requested a calm, bright, but NOT boring dining room. Here is what we came up with!

Previously, the only furniture in the room was a dining table and chairs. They knew they wanted more storage but weren’t sure how to get it without making the room feel cramped. Our solution was to rotate the dining table which allowed room for a buffet. We opted for an extendable table so that they could enlarge it when needed but keep it smaller for everyday use. This solution worked perfectly and even left us room to add a corner cabinet. We found this corner cabinet on Facebook Marketplace for $150 (can you believe that?!) and it was perfect. We hired Ember Home Improvement to install board and batten along the walls. They also added wider moulding around the windows and corner cabinet to create a built in effect.

We used soothing colors and soft roman shades to really create the calming feel the homeowners requested. We also added a round rug, black accents, and a gallery wall for some fun interest. My clients are thrilled with the outcome and so am I. Take a look at the before pictures!
