Lighting Favorites
Lighting can make a HUGE impact on overall design. It is not only functional but it can change the mood and energy of a space as well. There are many types of lighting: accent, ambient, task and knowing when and how to use each type of light is an important part of designing a space.
I’ve pulled together some of my current favorites in all different price ranges. Some of which I have used in my own home. I hope these fixtures give you inspiration and if you need help selecting fixtures for your own home don’t hesitate to reach out. Enjoy!
I chose this modern semi-flush ceiling light for our upstairs landing. It pairs really nicely with the black hardware on our bathroom barn door. While simple, it has that little hint of brass to give it something special. Link in photo- ***spoiler alert*** IT IS LESS THAN $35!! Such a steal for this light that is sure to update any hallway, landing, or office. While it could also work in a bedroom, I personally think clear glass can be too harsh and prefer something with more ambient lighting.

This flush mount is also fabulous. Flush mounts are great for rooms that don’t have tall ceilings.
I used this classic dome in our basement. It comes in tons of finishes and even different colors. It is perfect for basements, playrooms, and kids room. Plus, its a steal at only $95!

These pendants are so fun! They come in blue and taupe. Both colors have a classic elegance to them while being a fun pop, especially for a kitchen!
This chandelier is a modern take on the classic drum shade. It would beautifully soften any kitchen or dining room.
This rattan chandelier is handmade and would be perfect over a kitchen table or island. It would add a beautiful amount of texture and warmth to any space.
I love the traditional shape of this chandelier. It would be gorgeous over a dining room table. It is large but the slim and delicate arms keep it from overpowering a room.
